Kanom Mae Oey” — Bringing Traditional Thai Sweets Into the Hearts (and Homes) of the Modern World
In a world dominated by international confections, who would have thought that traditional Thai desserts could rise to global fame? Kanom Mae Oey is rewriting the narrative—transforming age-old Thai sweets into ready-to-eat favorites for today’s fast-paced lifestyles, without compromising the flavor, fragrance, or cultural value that makes them so special.
From a Humble Dessert Shop to a Nationally Recognized Brand
Kanom Mae Oey began in 2001 as a small, family-run Thai dessert shop. Founded by Mr. Disorn “Vo” Maritchai, the brand was built on a mission: to preserve the soul of traditional Thai sweets and bring them to a wider audience.
From sourcing seasonal ingredients directly from local farmers to meticulously following time-honored recipes, every dessert is crafted with care. Whether it’s steamed sticky rice in banana leaf (Khao Tom Mud) or classic coconut-based puddings like Bua Loi and Pumpkin in Coconut Cream, each bite is a reflection of Thai heritage—sweet, comforting, and made with love.
Reimagining Thai Desserts as “Ready-to-Eat” Innovations
Recognizing the evolving needs of today’s consumers, Vo introduced a groundbreaking idea: traditional Thai desserts that are shelf-stable, convenient, and preservative-free—yet still taste as fresh as if they’d just been made.
Por Dee Kam — From a Mother’s Love to a Global-Ready Thai Snack
What happens when you do what you love for the people you love?
This is the story of Por Dee Kam Crispy Gourami Fish, a Thai snack born from a mother’s care—now on its way to becoming a premium Thai export with global appeal.
From a Small Family Kitchen to a Beloved Household Name
The journey of Por Dee Kam began in 2017, when Ms. Toom (Prisana Wimalsiri), a mother of three in Bang Pakong, Thailand, wanted to serve her children delicious boneless gourami fish. She started slicing the fish into perfect bite-sized pieces and frying them until golden and crispy.
This simple act of love quickly turned into something much bigger. Friends and neighbors couldn’t get enough of the crispy, flavorful fish. And so, Por Dee Kam was born—not just as a snack, but as a heartfelt expression of care, tradition, and Thai flavor.
From One Kitchen to an Empowered Community
As demand grew, Toom didn’t stop at building a brand—she built a community. She invited local mothers, uncles, aunts, and elders—many of whom were retired or unemployed—to join her. Together, they tapped into their lifelong knowledge of traditional Thai fish preparation to create something truly meaningful.
"Rosnua" — From Cravings to Global Crave-Worthy Thai Noodles How one woman turned a frustrating food delivery experience into a global-ready noodle brand.
“In Thailand, eating isn’t just a daily task—it’s a big deal.” That’s the mindset behind Rosnua, a premium Thai dry noodle brand that’s redefining the way people enjoy noodles—anywhere in the world. We sat down with Ms. Sunisa “Ting” Supakittaveesin, the founder of Rosnua, who transformed her personal craving into a high-potential food business that’s already making waves in the domestic market—and is now ready to go global.
It Started with One Small Frustration—And Became a Full-Fledged Business
During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, food delivery was the only option for many. But the disappointment was real—especially when it came to noodles. “By the time it arrived,” Ting recalls, “the noodles were soggy, clumped, and the broth was everywhere.”
That sparked an idea: Why not create a ready-to-enjoy noodle dish that could retain the perfect texture and flavor—even after travel? Ting and her family began experimenting at home, eventually landing on their signature: Rosnua Zesty Thai Dry Noodles. No broth. No mess. Just chewy rice noodles, punchy Thai sauce, and a crave-worthy experience in every bite.
The Inspiration Behind Rosnua: Crave-Worthy Convenience for Everyone
Once the family agreed the flavor was “zaap!” (Thai slang for incredibly tasty), Ting knew she had something worth sharing. Her concept was simple: “Big flavor. Minimal wait. Ready in just 4 minutes.”
